Introducing Find & Mind: The Search & AI Meetup for Netherlands

We’re excited to announce the launch of Find & Mind – The Search & AI Meetup, a new community based in Amsterdam, Netherlands for everyone passionate about the intersection of Search, Information Retrieval, and Applied AI/LLMs.

    Why This Community?

Over the years, Amsterdam has seen plenty of vibrant meetups focused on either applied AI/LLMs or on search/IR. Many of these have been tied to vendors, academic circles, or very specific technologies.

But there has been a gap: a vendor-neutral, community-driven meetup that brings together practitioners and researchers across these worlds — ranking, relevance, retrieval, RAG, and agentic workflows — into the same room.

Find & Mind aims to fill that gap by:

    • 🌐 Creating a space where Search meets AI in practice
    • 🎤 Sharing talks, demos, and case studies from the field
    • 🤝 Building a community of professionals and enthusiasts across the Netherlands

    What To Expect

At Find & Mind, you can look forward to:

    • Talks introducing new techniques and practical applications
    • Case studies and lessons from real-world systems
    • Demos that showcase where search and AI are headed
    • Plenty of time for open discussion and networking

We want this to be a place where engineers, researchers, and product folks learn from each other — and where the Dutch Search & AI scene grows stronger together.

    The First Edition

📅 The inaugural meetup will take place in Amsterdam on September 17, 2025.
We’ll share full details on talks and venue soon — but this is just the beginning.

    Organizers

Find & Mind is organized by:

    • Ravindra Harige (Searchplex)
    • Daniel Spee (Luminis)

Both of us believe the most exciting work happens when retrieval meets reasoning — and we’re looking forward to creating a community where that happens in the open.

    Join Us

If you’re interested in ranking models, RAG, applied LLMs, agentic systems, or evaluation/observability of modern AI search, we’d love for you to be part of this community.
